Scrap Tire Collections:

The residential scrap tire collections are open to Calhoun County residents only to dispose of unwanted passenger vehicle tires, with rims removed.  Participants are limited to 10 scrap tires per event.

Dates and locations will be announced in early 2018

Household Hazardous Waste Collections are being held on the Saturdays listed above. Items that will be accepted include: oil-based paints, fuels (must be in approved container), solvents, acids, bases, pesticides, household cleaners, metallic mercury, medications, sharps, household batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, smoke detectors, motor oils, antifreezes, propane cylinders, fire extinguishers, aerosol cans, and PCB-containing lamp ballasts.

Items that will NOT be accepted include: latex paint, car batteries, school chemicals, construction materials/debris, radioactive materials, ammunitions, weapons, and explosives.
