Scrap Tire Collections:

The residential scrap tire collections are open to Calhoun County residents only to dispose of unwanted passenger vehicle tires, with rims removed.  Participants are limited to 10 scrap tires per event.

Village of Tekonsha Offices

Tires can be dropped off in designated area in the Village Offices parking lot beginning Wednesday, June 14.

Household Hazardous Waste Collections are being held on the Saturdays listed above. Items that will be accepted include: old gasoline, kerosene, and fuel oil (must be in approved container), brake fluid, motor oil, pesticides, old prescriptions, herbicides, anti-freeze, solvents, cleaners, stain and oil based paint, acids, pool chemicals, aerosol cans, batteries (flashlight and button), mercury, and fluorescent light bulbs.

Items that will NOT be accepted include: latex paint, explosives, biomedical waste, radioactive material, driveway sealer, car batteries, and school chemicals. NO LATEX PAINT!

Electronics and Styrofoam Collection with City of Battle Creek:

Items accepted: Styrofoam #6,  computers, computer equipment, laptops, LCD monitors, CRT monitors, printers, wires and cords, computer peripherals, copy/fax machines, audio visual equipment, plasma televisions, LCD televisions, tube televisions, game consoles, stereo equipment, lamps, small kitchen appliances and electronics, car batteries, batteries, and other items with a cord.
